The decommissioning of nuclear power plants (NPPs) is gaining attention due to aging installations, safety concerns, social pressure, and the rise of renewable energy. These projects are complex, requiring interdisciplinary coordination over 20 to 30 years, highlighting the need for enhanced management and leadership for safety.
The DMaLSE European project aims to develop a science-based training programme for future decommissioning project managers, offering a Master-level diploma focused on management and safety leadership. A multidisciplinary research program supports this goal, involving qualitative analysis of existing nuclear decommissioning projects to generate knowledge and produce academic and professional publications.
The post-doctoral researcher will contribute to this research, collaborating closely with the DMaLSE project team.
