ESCP Business School, the World’s First Business School (est. 1819) invites applications for a full-time PhD fellow position in Entrepreneurship starting in September 2023.
The PhD candidate receives a full scholarship for 4 years, including a tuition waiver, and generous support for conferences and research visits.. The PhD candidate will work on the fascinating topic of self-made entrepreneurship. The vast majority of successful entrepreneurs hail from privileged backgrounds therefore providing them with solid foundations to start a business. Yet, some entrepreneurs still make it without access to the relevant educational, financial, and/or social capital. What specific strategies and approaches do these entrepreneurs adopt to build legitimacy in the entrepreneurship world despite the hurdles that they face?
The student will address this interesting puzzle.
