The newly established Chair «Governance and Regulation» at University of Paris-Dauphine is recruiting a doctoral candidate in economics and management. Candidates must have a solid background in economics (institutional and organizational economics, industrial organization, political economy, law and economics) or management (strategy and organization), and be familiar with applied analysis. Expertise in the economics of regulation or non-market strategies is preferable but not required. About us: The newly established Chair Governance and Regulation is a research program involving the University of Paris-Dauphine — a leading University in Economics and Management in France —, Businesses, and Public institutions, including regulating agencies. It is aimed at working on the political economy and institutional organization of regulation across industries. The Chair offers an outstanding environment for scholarly publication and high-level communication of research to policy and business audiences. PHD Position The doctoral candidate will be working within the Research team made of researchers in economics, management, law, and political science. The doctoral candidate is expected to contribute to research projects in the political economy of regulation. The candidate's main task will be to prepare a doctoral thesis in the field of firm’s non-market strategies, with a focus on applied analysis of the European case. The thesis has to be undertaken at the University of Dauphine but can also be part of a joint supervision with another university. Contract: 3-year fixed-term contract, renewable once (up to a total of 4 years maximum) Profile: - Master's degree in Economics or Management, with a significant focus on quantitative methods. - Have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: fluency in English and a good understanding of French will be considered an advantage.
